I went from delivery driver, getting community college credits to finally transferring to a state school.

And I end up suspended.

It's been years now since I got this letter - way before I.T. careers were a thought in my mind.

Fast forward to now.

I’m in a cooled industrious coworking space, underground.

The aroma of citrus concrete finish makes the place feel luxurious.

I look up. There's a semi-transparent, glass-enforced city sidewalk. People are walking above.

I’m in Bogota.

My VPN router is connected.

I’ve activated stealth mode to signal my W2 employer that my location is state-side.

I just finished my only meeting for the week at my remote ‘main’ 6-figure income source.

I’m free to do whatever else.

I check my phone. I need to respond to a WhatsApp message from a local dentist I started 'talking' to.

She’s cute. She’s disciplined. Speaks English.

I want to take her to a rooftop lounge for cocktails.

But that comes later.

For now, I write to you.
